Identifying the Damage Degree of Structure Based on Empirical Mode Decomposition and Parameters in Time Domain Amplitude

    • The conception of Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) and five parameters in the traditional time-domain-amplitude are introduced simply in this paper. Response signal of a simply supported beam model is collected by vibrating system, and the data are analyzed by combining EMD with parameters in time domain amplitude, so the damage location is identified well. In different situations of damage, parameters in time -domain-amplitude are accounted by EMD, the damage degree is identified. In the course of identification, impulse factor is the best of all, clearance factor and kurtosis value is worse than it.
