Ultrasonic Surface Wave Testing for the Airspeed Heads of an Aircraft

Considering the shape and the crack characteristics of the airspeed heads, especially the influence of the crack in special parts to the ultrasonic transmitting, a new methord of ultrasonic surface wave in-situ detection technology was put forward. Special surface wave probe was designed according to characteristics of airspeed heads. The problem of the airspeed heads in-situ detection was well done and the reliability of flight safety was enhanced. It is proved that the testing effect is satisfactory.
