    NDT Method for the FGH96 and FGH97 Superalloy Powder Disks

    • Through the studying of NDT methods used for FGH96 and FGH97 powder Nickel-based superalloy turbine disk and labyrinth disk, the ultrasonic inspection and fluorescent particle inspection processes have been determined for the powder disks. The inspection results prove that the alloy made by hot isostatic pressing(HIP)+forging is more suitable for exposing indications with ultrasonic inspection, while the alloy made by direct HIP is good for indicating flaws with fluorescent particle inspection.
