Use of Parameter Analysis of Acoustic Emission Signals During Tensile Testing of Magnalium

Abstract
The characteristic parameter and simple parameter analysis methods of acoustic emission signals were introduced. The tensile testing of magnesium alloy was monitored with acoustic emission. Compared the acoustic emission signals with tensile diagram of magnesium alloy tensile test, it was found that different tensile stages could be well reflected by acoustic emission event counts and amplitudes. The different stages of tensile testing could also be differentiated by the correlation analysis of acoustic emission signal parameters.
