Development of a Combined TOFD and Pulse Echo Testing System
To evaluate safety and remaining life of an equipment after its operation, the weld line in structure must be tested. On the basis of TOFD, the compound test system of TOFD and pulse echo ultrasonic was developed. The system solved the problem that TOFD only was unable to detect the blind area existing in high and low surface in weld line. It can increase the reliability of weld line test.
