Application of Phased Array Ultrasonic Inspection Technology on Girth Welds in Long Output Pipeline Project

On the basis of automatic ultrasonic testing(AUT) equipment (Pipe WIZARD System) utilized in the West-east Gas Pipeline and Benthal Pipeline Project, some key techniques of AUT such as zone discrimination, phased array, two gate zonal chart, time of flight diffraction were described and their actual application in the long output pipeline project were presented.
