    Test Research of Lead Components Simulating Plutonium Components Oxide Corrosion

    • The test used by lead material instead of plutonium material components was conducted by ultrasonic inspection. Software simulated lead oxide corrosion. Through the analysis of simulation results, ultrasonic pulse reflection method is feasible to detect corrosion defect and oxidation layer density change of lead components. By studying the similarity of lead and plutoniums acoustic characteristics, it is able to support theoretical platform of radioactive plutonium components.
