Damage Inspection for High Pressure Compressor Blade of Aero-Engine by Ultrasonic Testing

    • Compressor vanes are the important parts of the aero-engine. Erosion, fatigue cracking and even fracture might be found on compressor vanes frequently. If being not detected adequately, the damage could lead to in-flight shut down and affect the flight safety of the aircraft. The ultrasonic inspection of HPC stage 4 blade roots was introduced. It is an effective method for preventing potentially hazard events.
