    Research on Characteristic of OPCM Transducer in Structural Damage Detection

    • For the problem of the lateral reflected wave interference of stress wave pre-stack migration imaging technology in the field of structural damage detection, orthotropic piezoelectric composite materials(OPCM) transducer is developed. This paper explains its characteristics with theoretical analysis and simulation, and demonstrates it by means of test. Simulation and experimental results indicate that the OPCM actuator can excite vibration signal with high energy and good directive property in a certain direction; and the OPCM sensor, can distinguish stress waves from different directions, and has strong response to stress wave from special direction. This may provide references for improving signal to noise ratio used in the field of structural damage detection.
