The paper analyzes the problems and difficulties of conventional UT inspecting fillet pipe butt weld used for power station boiler and overviews the theory and advanced point of PA technology. In addition, the paper also analyzes the configuration of procedure for PA inspecting fillet pipe butt weld, and illustrates the application and the inspection result with examples of PA inspecting fillet pipe butt weld used for power station boiler.
