Experiment on Velocity and Max Length of Testing in Ultrasonic Guided Wave Inspection Based on Magnetostrictive Technology

    • The ability of ultrasonic guided wave inspection of velocity and max length of testing by using the magnetostrictive sensor technology was studied experimentally. Experiments were done to two different materials(stainless steel, alloy steel) pipeline sample, while the sensors were air-coupled to the pipes. The experimental results showed that each one-way 64 kHz and 128 kHz encourage the T(0, 1) mode ultrasonic guided wave of two different materials on the possession of the pipelines end position, velocity and length of the detection had a significant change.
