Abstract
The microwave technology was applied in detecting internal defects of composite material. Three different kinds of non-metallic matrix composite were used for microwave nondestructive testing experiments. The experimental results indicate that the return loss can be used as a characteristic parameter for detecting the internal defects of composite materials, and different non-metallic base dielectric constants have influence on the testing results.
