Development Survey on Fiber Optic Sensor of Acoustic Emission Testing

The present situation and development of fiber optic sensor of acoustic emission(AE) testing technique were introduced. The fiber optic sensor of AE testing techniques based on the intensity modulation, phase-modulation, wavelength-modulation, polarization-modulation and some novel modulation principles were reviewed and evaluated. Some application examples were presented. The present urgent challenging problems and development tendency were also put forward.
