Design of Tubing Thread Inspection Probe Based on MFL

Design of inspection probe is the most important part to acquire perfect tubing thread inspection signal. Based on the Separate Magnetic Flux Leakage (SMFL) testing method, design of the tubing thread inspection probe is studied deeply and a new kind of tubing thread inspection probe is designed based on the deferential array combination of integrate Hall component. It is validated that the probe can reduce the influence of the background magnetic field and thread signal and improve the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) of the inspection system.
