    Testing Trials for Thin-Walled Welding with Creeping Wave Technique

    • The surface and near surface defect testing reliability was not good when testing the thin-walled welding with transverse wave. The creeping wave characteristics were analyzed, the artificial welding blocks with long-hole and curve were made, and the trials were proceeded on the blocks. Testing results showed that using the special creeping probe, the reflecting echo sensitivity could meet the standard requirement for each defect with different depths, and it could effectively detect the defect locating at the surface and near surface.
