Application of Annular Array Ultrasonic Testing Probe to the Inspection of Forgings

The development and fundamental of phased array ultrasonic testing were described. 10A16E32 annular array probe and its application to the immersion ultrasonic testing of aviation forgings were introduced in detail, including the operation and beam focusing. Comparative test and application example showed that annular array ultrasonic testing was high in speed, and sensitivity, and deep for effective testing.
