Inspection of Drilling Tool Thread by Alternative Current Magnetic Flux Leakage Testing

A new Nondestructive Testing method, alternative current magnetic flux leakage testing, was introduced to inspect the flaw in the drilling tool thread area. The inspection theory, implement methods and experiments on the inspection of drilling tool thread by alternative current magnetic flux testing were explained and the conclusion was given. With the Hall sensor scanning along the root of the thread, the drilling tool thread could be inspected with high precision.
