Analysis of service stress monitoring data of compressor pipeline in a gas storage

    • Under the conditions of vibration superposition and settlement, the stress bearing of natural gas storage pipelines is very complicated. Based on the principle of elastic strain, the strain method can realize the nondestructive detection of structural stress. The stress monitoring system was designed. Based on the multi-point stress and vibration detection data of the key process window of a sulfur-bearing gas storage, a metal strain gauge was installed at the key position, long-term stress monitoring was carried out by covering high-temperature compressor outlet pipelines, 270 ° large bending pipelines, maximum amplitude horizontal straight pipelines, and the position of restraint abrupt change points, etc. The monitor for stress change of pipeline key position under the conditions of long-term operation, compressor switching, formation fluctuation, etc was carried out. It was found that the load-bearing fluctuation characteristics of compressor pipelines, the low cycle fatigue load of some (shutdown) pipelines, and the impact load characteristics of unit switching. The research results provided important method and technical support for compressor design, maintenance and safe operation of gas storage.
