Abstract
Traditional detection of welded steel pipe ends has some problems, such as poor timeliness, accuracy influenced by human experience, and randomness of errors. Therefore, an automated phased array ultrasonic detection equipment was proposed and the structure, application scope and operation process of this equipment were introduced. This automated phased array detection equipment could satisfy the needs of welded pipe end detection performance index, had many advantages such as high-accuracy, high-efficiency, fast-localization, and intuitive defects detection display interface. It could quickly, efficiently, automatically detect defects for the pipe ends and had broad market prospects and application potential.
