    Detection experiment and application of austenitic stainless steel based on double crystal phased array probe

    • For austenitic stainless steel welds, this paper introduced four kinds of phased array probe detection schemes, and each group of sound field process analysis and experimental comparison, to seek the research direction of austenitic stainless steel welds ultrasonic detection technology. Finally, a new phased array technology was recommended: double crystal linear array/planar array solution, which provided high penetration and reduced the distortion of the sound field. In addition, the longitudinal wave beam deflection can stimulate the crawling wave to cover the surface, and the flexible scanning frame can be well suited to the ultrasonic testing of austenitic stainless steel welds in shipbuilding, petrochemical and nuclear power industries.
