Analysis of ultrasonic testing of nuclear island primary components

In this paper, combined with engineering practice, the differences of standards on the performance requirements of examination apparatus and probes, the application of forging examination standards, the shear wave scanning area of fillet weld of branch pipe, the difference of base metal detection requirements near welded joints at different stages, and ultrasonic thickness measurement were analyzed and discussed,and the suggestions were put forward. The object of this paper is to provide reference for establishing standard and design of the ultrasonic testing for nuclear island primary components.
