Abstract
First, the model of duplex stainless steel anisotropic weld was established by using CIVA simulation software, and the sound field distribution and defect response were simulated and calculated. Then, the process validation was carried out based on the standard ISO 13588-2019 and ISO 22825-2017. Finally, the on-site FPSO hull pipeline was inspected and the defect dissection was verified by using the phased array technology developed by CIVA simulation. The results show that the CIVA simulation has a good guiding role in the development of the phased array inspection process for anisotropic stainless steel welds. The DMA probe has a high signal-to-noise ratio and a high defect detection rate in the phased array inspection of anisotropic stainless steel welds. This research provides a feasible technical scheme for phased array ultrasonic testing of FPSO hull pipes.
