    Wear detection method of high speed railway contact wire based on capactive sensor

    • This paper proposed a capacitance sensor-based measurement method to detect the wear of the contact wire. The Schwarz-Christoffel transform was used to quantitatively analyze the linear relationship between the capacitance value and the wear amount. A simulation model was established with COMSOL to calculate the capacitance value and compare with theoretical prediction for verifying its accuracy. Finally, simulation and experimental results verified that the measured capacitance could be used to detect the wear of the contact wire.
