    Detection rate analysis of imcomplete fusion defect in small diameter pipe groove of power plant boiler

    • Phased array ultrasonic testing and radiographic testing were carried out on small diameter tubes in the confined space of a power plant boiler, and the test results were compared and analyzed. It was shown that the detection rate of incomplete fusion defects in groove by phased array ultrasonic testing was significantly higher than that by radiographic testing, which may effectively improve the welding quality and avoid the hazards caused by defect omission.
