    Development of NDT reference block for aviation composite structure

    • The damage characteristics of five common types of damages in aviation composite structures, such as delamination, debonding, impact, ponding and cracking were analyzed. The artificial simulation method of various damages were studied. The design requirements, production process, evaluation of testing project, method and criteria to evaluate the reference blocks, the coding rules were discussed in detail. This work can provide guidance for the design and manufacture of NDT test blocks for aircraft composite structures.
