Introduction and status quo of standard SNT TC-1A personnel certification system

Present paper aims to introduces the implementation rules SNT TC-1A “Qualification and certification of nondestructive testing personnel” issued by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) in the 1960s, and the current status of other certification systems derived from this in the United States. In-depth research on the original intention of the SNT TC-1A personnel certification system and certification basis was made, and its key contents were discussed with the intention of preventing misuse or abuse by Chinese nondestructive testing personnel when implementing the SNT TC-1A certification system.
