    Barkhausen noise method inspection of grinding burn of 9310 steel

    • The basic principle of Barkhausen noise method for grinding burn inspection is introduced in this paper, and methods for getting two critical parameters (the magnetization voltage and the value of characteristic magnetoelastic parameter MP for 9310 steel during grinding burn inspection by Barkhausen noise method are studied. First, the samples with different degrees of grinding burn were prepared, and the grinding burn degree was graded by acid etch method. Then, the corresponding relationship between the MP value measured by Barkhausen noise method and different grinding burn grades was established. Finally, the required magnetization voltage and MP value were determined according to the variation of the characteristic value with magnetization voltage and burn degree.
