    Radiographic testing of heat exchange tube and header pipe fillet weld for open rack vaporizer

    • The structure of fillet weld between the star-type heat exchange tube and header pipe of open shelf seawater vaporizer is special. The welding methods include tungsten inert-gas welding and metal inert-gas welding. In order to inspect the internal welding quality for the weld, radiographic inspection is adopted. According to its structural characteristics, tools for radiographic machine placement and film layout were specially and respectively designed, and some measures were adopted to ensure the quality of the radiographic image and improve the inspection efficiency.
