Visual testing in the manufacture of stainless steel seamless pipes for nuclear power plant

This paper briefly introduces the manufacturing process of stainless steel seamless pipes used in nuclear power plant, focuses on the characteristics of typical defects found in visual testing at each stage of manufacturing process, and analyzes the causes of these defects. It also summarizes the requirements for applying visual inspection technology to control surface quality in the manufacturing process, which can provide references for peers.
