Online monitoring of damage of wind turbine blade connecting bolt

Advanced bolt structure connection monitoring technology was reviewed. Various technologies including vibration signal detection, acoustic elastic effect, piezoelectric effect detection and optical fiber sensing were introduced. In addition, online monitoring technology of fan connection bolts based on material and structural feature detection methods was also introduced. Progresses of the above-mentioned technologies and their technical characteristics and applicability in monitoring of fan bolts looseness were outlined in the paper.
