Phased array ultrasonic inspection of fillet welds of cooler saddle ribs

The application of phased array ultrasonic technology to the saddle fillet weld of the cooler was researched. The defects were buried in the prefabricated fillet weld samples, and satisfactory test results were obtained. The validity of test process was also verified. The developed detection process is applied to the field, and the results show that it has a guiding effect on the actual detection.
