The nondestructive testing method of surface defects of certain plane's flanges

Flange is the key component of aircraft landing device. This paper uses the ultrasonic surface wave to detect defects in the flange. Through analysis of influencing factors and the comparison with results by magnetic yoke test, the validity of the surface wave test was verified. Practice shows that ultrasonic surface wave has great advantages for flange detection.
