TOFD Detection of Unequal Thickness Butt Welded Joints

According to the groove type of butt welded joints with different thickness, contrast test blocks were fabricated according to the requirements of Appendix A of NB/T47013.10-2015 standard and the comparative test was carried out. The reliability of TOFD test for butt welded joints with different thickness was verified by verification of inspection process coverage and by the comparison with X-ray detection.
