Design of the Calibration Block for Automated Ultrasonic Testing of Girth Weld in Subsea Pipelines

Calibration block of zonal discrimination automated ultrasonic testing is used to calibrate system sensitivity, positioning tolerance etc. Reflectors including cap reflector, fill zone reflector, root reflector and volumetric reflectors are designed to match different grooves and specified zones. The calibration block material and reflector machining tolerance is also given. The calibration block shall be designed appropriately as per fundamental and parameter details.
