Abstract
Aiming at the control of the propagation direction of the main acoustic beam of electromagnetic ultrasonic guided wave in the aluminum plate, the equivalent model analysis method of Biot Savart law was adapted. The relationship between the asymmetric oblique tortuous coil and the propagation direction of the main beam of the electromagnetic ultrasonic guided wave was established. The experiment verified the feasibility of the oblique angle of the zigzag coil and the control method of the propagation direction of the main beam of the electromagnetic ultrasonic guided wave. Results show that ultrasonic guided wave generated by the electromagnetic ultrasonic transducer with oblique tortuous coil structure is perpendicular to the working wire of the coil. The control of the direction of propagation can be realized by changing the oblique angle of the coil.
