    Array Pulsed Eddy Current Detection of Rivet Hole Defect in Multi-layer Metal Riveting Structure in Aircraft

    • Detection of the defects in the rivet in the aircraft multi-layer metal riveting structure has been a difficult task and hot spot in the field of nondestructive testing.Based on the array pulsed eddy current technology,this study used linear array rectangular probe and used the TMR chip to receive the signal. The probe can be used to detect rivet hole defects by rotary scanning method. The results show that there is an optimal angle detection point for the defect and the array axis,and the rotary scanning is capable of effectively detecting flaws around the rivet hole.
