On the Homemade External Eddy Current Probe

The influence of frame size, wire diameter and number of windings on defect signal was summarized according to the experimental findings. The working frequency and the required inductance by the equipment were theoretically calculated. The eddy current probes which could meet the requirement for inspecting zirconium alloy tubes were developed and manufactured by combining the experimental results with the acquired best matching impedances.
