    Error Reason on Defect Positioning for Ultrasonic Testing of Weld Seams of Aluminum Alloy

    • Aiming at overcoming the difficulty of large location error in ultrasonic inspection of aluminum alloy weld, the ultrasonic testing of disordered coarse grained microstructure affecting the test was carried out, and experimental and metallographic analysis on grain uniformity was performed. Based on the reasonable selection of the material grade of aluminum specimen according to the material characteristics, it is feasible to control the value of probe index error measured on steel CSK-IA specimen and on aluminum specimen being less than ±0.5 mm.
