Current Control Method for PCM Detection of Underground Pipeline in Oil and Gas Treatment Plant

    • While using the PCM (Pipeline Current Mapper) method to test the buried pipeline of the oil and gas treatment plant, the input current will be shunted due to the influence of the pipeline branch as there exist large numbers of branch pipelines. The pipeline branch can be regarded as a parallel circuit. Under the condition of the same input voltage, the output signal strength of every branch of the buried pipeline can be controlled by reducing the resistance of the target pipe loop, so that the detection current signal is more distributed to the pipe segment to be detected, and thus the positioning of the buried pipeline of the treatment plant can be completed.
