    Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing of the Socket Fillet Weld of In-service Normal Pressure Storage Tank

    • In order to improve the efficiency and reliability of defect detection of fillet weld for in-service normal pressure tank, samples of type T fillet weld and simulation specimen containing a total of 5 defects were designed. Experiments were performed to develop an effective method for defect detection. The prefabricated 5 defects were detected successfully, and the results were compared with the wire cutting results, showing that better detection results were obtained.
