Ultrasonic Inspection of AFA 3G Failure Fuel Rod

Experiments are carried out on wet sand loaded fuel rods, and it is found that the Lamb wave energy will leak into the wet sand in the shell. By comparing the A-scan signal and B-scan images of fuel rods before and after the failure, the method of ultrasonic inspection and data analyzing are determined, which can locate the failure fuel rod accurately.
