Discussion on the Wave-transition of Vertical Incident Ultrasonic Longitudinal Wave

This paper discusses the wave-transition theory and puts forward that wave-transition occurs in the examined material when straight beam probe is used with contact method. Through theoretical analysis, mathematical calculation and verification test, it is concluded that the wave pattern conversion will also occur in the tested material even if the vertically incident ultrasonic longitudinal wave is employed.
