    Influence of Forging Parameters on Microstructure and Ultrasonic Velocity of TC4 Forging

    • The microstructure of α and β phases in TC4 has a direct impact on the reliability and life of the material. An effective ultrasonic nondestructive evaluation method can be used to evaluate the forging microstructure of TC4. The ultrasonic velocities under various forging parameter conditions of TC4 were analyzed in reference to its metallographic microstructures. The fact is that the velocity and the primary α phase have certain correlation relations, and the organization of α phase is directly affected by the ultrasonic velocity.
