Influence of Workpiece Surface Paint Layer Thickness on the Weld Magnetic Particle Testing

    • Magnetic particle testing was carried out for workpieces with various paint layers under some special conditions (low carbon steel Q345D for parent metal, the gray cast iron wire HS401 for weld material, and a rapid water cooling after finishing welding), in order to study the influence of paint layer thickness on magnetic particle detection sensitivity, which might provide useful reference for the others.
