Radiographic Testing for Equatorial Weld of the Spherical Shell Centered by a Cylindrical Shaft

The paper studies and analyses the effects of the center cylindrical shaft on the radiographic testing of shell equatorial weld. Following process analysis and experiment verification, a conclusion has been drawn that a reasonable testing process could eliminate non-correlation images caused by the center cylindrical shaft to interfere with the testing consequence, and to realize quality testing of the whole equatorial weld.
