Ultrasonic Phased Array Testing for the Girth Weld of Austenitic Stainless Steel Pipeline

Based on the phased array inspection technology, this paper introduces the ultrasonic phased array program for testing the austenitic stainless steel pipe weld and the selection of phased array probe key parameters. The sound field of the selected probe is demonstrated by the CIVA acoustic simulation software. The inspection performance of this method is demonstrated by the experiment on the natural defects block.
