    Fatigue Failure Detection of the Offshore Platform Material Based on Acoustic Emission

    • Fatigue failure of the offshore platform material is still one of the most sophisticated problems needed to be solved urgently. Based on experiment platform for bending fatigue damage of offshore platforms materials, parameter analysis and wavelet analysis were used to explore the process of bending fatigue damage. The amplitude and counts show activity of fatigue crack well in different stages of fatigue failure. The acoustic emission technique is suitable for monitoring the fatigue failure of the offshore platform material.
