Influence of Surrounding Pipes Pulsed Eddy Current Testing of Pipeline with Insulation

    • When conducting a pulsed eddy current testing of corrosive pipeline with cladding layer, other channels are often surrounded by other popes in the vicinity, causing interference detection. For this case, the simulation model of interference tube, which is on the both sides of the test pipe and parallel to the direction of the detection, has been formed, comparing the impact of interferences in case of different distances.Meanwhile, several experiments of interference tube at different positions have also been conducted in order to make a comparison with the simulation. The simulation and experimental results show that test results will be affected when the interference detection pipe is 0.6m apart from the detection tube on both sides.
