Wood Defect Inspection by Drilling Resistance Method

The principle of inspection technique for wood defect by drilling resistance method was introduced and typical resistance graphs for different wood defects were presented. Basic instructions and defect evaluation method of the technique were proposed for timber structures. Reference wood and accuracy calibration method for the instrument were prescribed. Research results in the paper can provide necessary reference for standardizing the inspection technique for wood defect.
