    Methods of Monitoring Laser Shock Peening for Aviation Engine Blade

    • Laser shock peening is a new surface treatment method for aviation engine blade. Quality assessment for blade is needed after laser shock peening. Generally, the quality assessment criterion is decided on whether the fatigue strength is promoted or whether the residual stress is increased or not. This article summarized the technical features and applications status of most quality assessment methods, especially the NDT methods for aviation engine blade.
